Walmart suspends its jeans business, suspends production for Thanksgiving rush

Wal-Mart is suspending production of jeans for Thanksgiving, according to a tweet from the retailer’s corporate office.

The news comes after Wal-Marts suppliers reported a sharp drop in orders and sales for the Thanksgiving holiday.

On Wednesday, the company said it was suspending its jeans production for the holiday rush, as suppliers report a sharp decrease in orders, sales and earnings.

Walmart, which sells clothes in its online store, has not yet announced a plan to resume production for this holiday season.

It also said it is temporarily suspending its production of the Levi’s brand jeans for the season, in addition to its other jeans brands.
